  • Asthma 1 – Essentials: Impact Asthma ECHO: This entry level program includes four 1 hour weekly video call sessions featuring a primary care case presenter, many other learners and the support team. Anyone on the call can discuss the cases. Recommendations are developed and shared with the group. Finally, a session leader reviews a priority: 1) Monitoring Asthma Risk and Impairment, 2) Applying Best Practices, 3) Assessing and Monitoring Triggers, or 4) Engaging Preventative Services in your Community. With Asthma 1 – Essentials: Impact Asthma ECHO, you’ll learn about best practices for diagnosing and managing asthma. Sign up for four Tuesday sessions, noon to 1 p.m. Choose a cycle in January, February, May, June, September OR October. To register and learn more, visit https://showmeecho.org/clinics/asthma/
  • Asthma 2 – QI/MOC: Asthma Care Accelerator (ACA): This series of video calls is designed to enable providers to implement national asthma guidelines in their clinic with a quality improvement strategy. There are eight, one-hour videoconferences over a six-month period with critical activities that satisfy multi-specialty board (ABMS) requirements for Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credit for population health, clinical practice and physician lifelong learning. This approach combines learning collaboration with practice facilitation for practical “real world” experience including case presentations and on-site clinical support for best practices. ACA meets a total of eight Tuesdays, from noon to 1 p.m., in March, April, July and August. To register and learn more, visit https://showmeecho.org/clinics/asthma-accelerator/.
  • Asthma 3 – Community: Asthma Care and Education (ACE):  Root causes and solutions for uncontrolled asthma are often found outside the clinic walls. Addressing the unique challenges children and families face in the day-to-day experience of asthma requires a team of folks who share understanding and a commitment to meet pressing needs. This program is dedicated to opening lines of communication between clinic and community partners for improved asthma care and outcomes. Care managers, health plans, school nurses, community health workers, home environmental assessors, asthma educators, social workers and many others have vital roles. As we better understand one another, we will better serve our patients. Asthma 3 – Community meets 10 Tuesdays yearly from noon to 1 p.m. in March, April, July, August and November. To register and learn more, visit https://showmeecho.org/clinics/ace/.
  • Community clinicians who present cases benefit from working with a local asthma champion on the call who follows-up with clinics throughout the year to provide ARC training and support at no cost.
  • ARC programs enhance the readiness of health care professionals to provide cost-efficient care that is compliant with Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma: Expert Panel Report 3. For parents and caregivers, ARC programs support key steps to improve asthma control in infants and children.
