I have been a lifelong Missouri resident having grown up and currently residing in Carl Junction, MO (near Joplin). I attended college, medical school, and completed my residency in Family Medicine at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Just like my specialty, I’ve done a little bit of everything in my career – clinical, teaching, administrative, both on my own and employed. I’ve always had a desire to be involved in my community. I serve on the board of two local not-for-profit organizations and have been a volunteer physician at a local medical ministry for nearly 20 years. I won the lottery when I got married to my husband, Kenny. We’re enjoying empty nesting with our 3 grown children now out in the world on their own.
